Volunteers have been the cornerstone of the Venice Family Clinic since its inception.
In fact, what started in 1970 with just two volunteer doctors and a borrowed dental office has now grown into the largest free medical clinic in the nation, with seven locations, as a direct result of our volunteers.
Today, the Clinic’s community of volunteers has grown to 1,900 – including over 400 physicians - whose time is valued at more than $1 million annually.
The Volunteer Services department offers a variety of opportunities to get involved in nearly every aspect of the clinic’s operations. We match the interest and experience of our volunteers with the Clinic’s needs and priorities in administration, fundraising, medical, and social services.
Regardless of how you choose to get involved, your effort helps extend the reach of the nation’s largest free medical clinic to the underserved in Los Angeles County.
