2017 Silver Circle Gala: Volunteer Resources

 THANK YOU for this year’s Silver Circle Gala!

SUNDAY – MARCH 26TH

Pre-Event Volunteers report sometime between 12pm-3pm.

All Event Volunteers are scheduled to be on site from 3:45pm-10:30pm.


If at all possible, please help us move and pack up all of the supplies after the event closes at 9pm. Many hands make little work!

Please review the resources below before your shift in order to be prepared for your volunteer role. Information will be posted here as resources are finalized in the days leading up to the event.

WHAT TO DO ON SUNDAY, MARCH 26th

STEP 1 – Utilize the SELF PARKING located on the corner of Santa Monica Blvd & Merv Griffin Way.The Clinic is paying for each validation, so carpooling is encouraged! Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to account for parking and check-in.

STEP 2 – Volunteer Check-In & Training  Once parked, enter the building and follow the signs for the International GALLERY. There will be signs leading you to the Volunteer Check-In area. Check-in for all event volunteers is promptly at 4pm. Here, you will meet your leads and receive day-of training, dinner ticket, and parking validation. Each table in this area will be assigned to a specific role. Please take your seat accordingly.

STEP 3 – Report to your Volunteer Assignment  

 

VOLUNTEER FAQs:

  • What is my role? Based on your preference and training, we will assign roles and you receive this info via email.
  • What should I bring? Unfortunately, there will not be secured storage available. So for your security, we highly suggest cross-body bags that will allow you to keep your belongings/valuables with you at all times.
  • Will there be food? There will be two dinner shifts for event volunteer at approximately 4:00pm and 7:30pm. These shifts will be assigned via email. DO NOT leave your volunteer post until you are dismissed by your Leads. 
  • May I take photos of or with guests or talent? In respect of our supporters and to retain the integrity of the event, we ask the volunteers refrain from taking photos during the event.

 

DRESS CODE

  • Attire should be predominately black
  • Emphasis on comfortable shoes
  • Business-Formal Attire: Dress Slacks or Knee-Length Skirts; Jackets not required
  • Please no polos, t-shirts, khakis, sneakers, boat shoes, or casual sandals
