Volunteers have been the cornerstone of the Venice Family Clinic since its inception.
In fact, what started in 1970 with just two volunteer doctors and a borrowed dental office has grown into the largest free medical clinic in the nation with seven locations ….as a direct result of our volunteers.
Today, the Clinic’s community of volunteers has grown to 2,000 – including more than 400 physicians -- whose time is valued at more than $1 million annually.
The Volunteer Services department matches the interests and experience of our volunteers with the Clinic’s needs and priorities in four key areas: administration; fundraising; medical, mental health and social services; and governance.
Regardless of how you choose to get involved, your effort helps extend the reach of the nation’s largest free medical clinic to the uninsured in Los Angeles County.
