Research efforts focus on clinical, behavioral, organizational and
community health studies that improve understanding of the Clinic ’s mostly uninsured patient population or test methods to improve quality of care or health status through clinic or community-based interventions.
Research goals are to:
- Enhance the quality of primary health care services;
- Share knowledge about the medically underserved and their needs;
- Facilitate community involvement in research;
- Support evaluation research of existing programs according to the Clinic’s mission and guiding principles;
- Build the Clinic’s capabilities in quality-improvement practices and outcomes oriented research;
- Contribute to the development of health care policy.
